Arthur Forrissier and Camille Defer win XTERRA Switzerland

Double victory for France at XTERRA Switzerland! The dominance of French crosstriathletes in 2019 is impressive. In the men’s singles alone, 6 Frenchmen have made it into the top ten. In the women’s event, 3 of the 6 elite starters started from the Grande Nation.

Forrisier is in impressive shape this year, the race in the Vallee de Joux has been “his” race for years. After a good swim performance (8th place) he took the lead on the MTB split and then extended it on the trail run course. A bitter duel broke out between Corentin Duclos and Cedric Fleureton, who Fleureton won with 25 seconds.

For Camille Defer it was the first victory at an XTERRA event of the European Tour. The long time leading Swiss Ladina Buss could not oppose the young and super fast runner on the trail run track and had to let the French runner go. 3rd place went to Isabelle Ferrer.

Rui Dolores (POR) and Carina Wasle (AUT) continue to lead in the tour ranking. The best German athletes are Peter Lehmann (5th) and Maria Döring (5th).

Next race: XTERRA France, one of the highlights of the XTERRA European Tour.
