XTERRA_NA_1170

XTERRA_NA_1170The first “real” XTERRA race of the 2020 season in Europe took place in France at the weekend, and it was a premiere event that received this honour. The XTERRA Nouvelle-Aquitane passed this trial by fire with about 350 participants from 10 nations. However without German participation.

The dominance of the French in the elite sector, especially among the men, which became more and more visible in the last years, will obviously continue in 2020. The dominance is impressive: In the men’s category, it was only with old master Ruben Ruzafa (ESP) in 6th place that the phalanx of Gauls was broken through. Maxim Chane took the victory, as he did at the French National Championships. Two and four minutes after him, the two permanent rivals Arthur & Arthur crossed the finish line.

XTERRA_NA_Paties900Alizée Paties also made sure that the women’s victory will remain in France. However, second place went to Italy. Marta Menditto made sure of that. On 3rd place was Emeline Azam, a French age grouper from France.
