23. August 2021- All competitions for Saturday (XTERRA, O-SEE Classic, O-SEE Team, O-SEE Reduced) are booked ca. 80 %. Some starting places can be allocated on site. The late registrations are Friday, 20.08.2021 from 1.00 p.m. possible.
- Starting places for the Sunday competitions of the O-SEE X’Kids and O-SEE Light are still available, entries on site from Friday – Sunday are still possible.

- Hygiene concept
The event was approved with conditions. This includes a hygiene concept agreed with the authorities. You can find this hygiene concept here.
Athletes with foreign nationality have to present a current Coronatest. There are possibilities for testing directly on site. There is an information point at the registration tent.
- Weather forecast 20-22 August
Sunny, temperatures from 18 to 25 °C are predicted. The probability of precipitation is low.
- Directions and parking facilities
Access to the leisure oasis Olbersdorfer See only via Äußere Weberstraße.
A sufficient number of parking spaces are available there. These are subject to a charge. (Daily fee 2€). Access via Südstraße Olbersdorf is not possible, it is closed.
- Competition instructions
Cancelled because of corona restrictions. You can find the digital briefing there. For elite starters there will be additional contact persons for special questions.
- Water temperature and quality
The quality of the water is without complaint. A current water analysis is available.
The water temperature is currently 23°C. A final decision as to whether a neoprene ban will be imposed will only be made on Saturday morning.
- Bicycle washing area
There is no bicycle wash because of the water withdrawal ban! Washing bikes in the O-SEE is strictly forbidden. Violations will result in a subsequent disqualification.
- Bicycle stand on the fairground area
This year we will set up designated bicycle stands on the fairground. There is a parking possible, these must be secured with own locks. Attention It is forbidden to connect the bikes to the boundaries of the competition tracks, as the spectators have no opportunity to see and cheer on the athletes.
Important note: Please do not leave bicycles unattended or outside the vehicle. There is a risk of theft. As soon as the bicycles are placed in the transition zone, they will be guarded by the organizer. Outside the transition zone, the organiser does not assume any security guarantees or claims for damages due to theft.
- Check-in/Check-out
It is requested that the times stated in the Race Schedule for check-in to the transition zone are strictly adhered to. From 11.30 am onwards access to the transition zone is no longer possible. Please remove the bikes from the transition zone after the race until the time limit shown in the race schedule. The bikes will only be handed over on presentation of the start number (run).
- Swimming
Bathing caps are issued at the start of the swim.
- MTB routes
On the MTB tracks there is a risk of slipping and rolling on loose, sandy ground. Old ruts are hard and sometimes dangerous to ride. There are some track changes to 2019 for all tracks.
Please take enough liquid with you.
Please do not throw away empty gel packaging etc. on the way. We take care …
- running tracks
This year the running direction of the trail run was reversed there will be an additional station for food and refreshment. This makes the lap transition clearer. XTERRA, Classic and Team have to run 2 laps of 5 km each. Reduced one lap. Please note!
- Finish and award ceremony
Adequate catering in the finish area is guaranteed.
Massage facilities and medical care are available in the finish area.
Award ceremonies according to Race Schedule from 16.00 for the O-SEE categories, from 18.00 for the XTERRA category.
- After Race O-SEE Open Air
The OpenAir under the huge sun sail is reduced due to Covid restrictions (1,000 participants max.), there is no live music, but 2 DJ´s provide a party feeling. Admission free.
- Opening O-SEE Challenge/XTERRA Germany
The opening takes place on Friday 20.00 o’clock after the Pastaparty in the presence of the patron, prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony Michael Kretschmer.
