Last news

  • All com­pe­ti­tions for Sat­ur­day (XTERRA, O-SEE Clas­sic, O-SEE Team, O-SEE Reduced) are booked ca. 80 %. Some start­ing places can be allo­cat­ed on site. The late reg­is­tra­tions are Fri­day, 20.08.2021 from 1.00 p.m. pos­si­ble.

 

  • Start­ing places for the Sun­day com­pe­ti­tions of the O-SEE X’Kids and O-SEE Light are still avail­able, entries on site from Fri­day – Sun­day are still pos­si­ble.
    The valid sched­ules and infor­ma­tion about the sup­port­ing pro­gram Friday/Saturday/Sunday can be found here
    The map of the com­pe­ti­tion area and the fair­ground area with all impor­tant infor­ma­tion (park­ing, info­point, reg­is­tra­tion tent, check-in, gas­tron­o­my etc.) can be found here.

 

  • Hygiene con­cept
    The event was approved with con­di­tions. This includes a hygiene con­cept agreed with the author­i­ties. You can find this hygiene con­cept here.
    Ath­letes with for­eign nation­al­i­ty have to present a cur­rent Coro­nat­est. There are pos­si­bil­i­ties for test­ing direct­ly on site. There is an infor­ma­tion point at the reg­is­tra­tion tent.

 

  • Weath­er fore­cast 20-22 August
    Sun­ny, tem­per­a­tures from 18 to 25 °C are pre­dict­ed. The prob­a­bil­i­ty of pre­cip­i­ta­tion is low.

 

  • Direc­tions and park­ing facil­i­ties
    Access to the leisure oasis Olbers­dor­fer See only via Äußere Weber­straße.
    A suf­fi­cient num­ber of park­ing spaces are avail­able there. These are sub­ject to a charge. (Dai­ly fee 2€). Access via Süd­straße Olbers­dorf is not pos­si­ble, it is closed.

 

  • Com­pe­ti­tion instruc­tions
    Can­celled because of coro­na restric­tions. You can find the dig­i­tal brief­ing there. For elite starters there will be addi­tion­al con­tact per­sons for spe­cial ques­tions.

 

  • Water tem­per­a­ture and qual­i­ty
    The qual­i­ty of the water is with­out com­plaint. A cur­rent water analy­sis is avail­able.
    The water tem­per­a­ture is cur­rent­ly 23°C. A final deci­sion as to whether a neo­prene ban will be imposed will only be made on Sat­ur­day morn­ing.

 

  • Bicy­cle wash­ing area
    There is no  bicy­cle wash because of the water with­draw­al ban! Wash­ing bikes in the O-SEE is strict­ly for­bid­den. Vio­la­tions will result in a sub­se­quent dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion.

 

  • Bicy­cle stand on the fair­ground area
    This year we will set up des­ig­nat­ed bicy­cle stands on the fair­ground. There is a park­ing pos­si­ble, these must be secured with own locks. Atten­tion It is for­bid­den to con­nect the bikes to the bound­aries of the com­pe­ti­tion tracks, as the spec­ta­tors have no oppor­tu­ni­ty to see and cheer on the ath­letes.
    Impor­tant note: Please do not leave bicy­cles unat­tend­ed or out­side the vehi­cle. There is a risk of theft. As soon as the bicy­cles are placed in the tran­si­tion zone, they will be guard­ed by the orga­niz­er. Out­side the tran­si­tion zone, the organ­is­er does not assume any secu­ri­ty guar­an­tees or claims for dam­ages due to theft.

 

  • Check-in/Check-out
    It is request­ed that the times stat­ed in the Race Sched­ule for check-in to the tran­si­tion zone are strict­ly adhered to. From 11.30 am onwards access to the tran­si­tion zone is no longer pos­si­ble. Please remove the bikes from the tran­si­tion zone after the race until the time lim­it shown in the race sched­ule. The bikes will only be hand­ed over on pre­sen­ta­tion of the start num­ber (run).

 

  • Swim­ming
    Bathing caps are issued at the start of the swim.

 

  • MTB routes
    On the MTB tracks there is a risk of slip­ping and rolling on loose, sandy ground. Old ruts are hard and some­times dan­ger­ous to ride. There are some track changes to 2019 for all tracks.
    Please take enough liq­uid with you.
    Please do not throw away emp­ty gel pack­ag­ing etc. on the way. We take care …

 

  • run­ning tracks
    This year the run­ning direc­tion of the trail run was reversed there will be an addi­tion­al sta­tion for food and refresh­ment. This makes the lap tran­si­tion clear­er. XTERRA, Clas­sic and Team have to run 2 laps of 5 km each. Reduced one lap. Please note!

 

  • Fin­ish and award cer­e­mo­ny
    Ade­quate cater­ing in the fin­ish area is guar­an­teed.
    Mas­sage facil­i­ties and med­ical care are avail­able in the fin­ish area.
    Award cer­e­monies accord­ing to Race Sched­ule from 16.00 for the O-SEE cat­e­gories, from 18.00 for the XTERRA cat­e­go­ry.

 

  • After Race O-SEE Open Air
    The Ope­nAir under the huge sun sail is reduced due to Covid restric­tions (1,000 par­tic­i­pants max.), there is no live music, but 2 DJ´s pro­vide a par­ty feel­ing. Admis­sion free.

 

  • Open­ing O-SEE Challenge/XTERRA Ger­many
    The open­ing takes place on Fri­day 20.00 o’clock after the Pastaparty in the pres­ence of the patron, prime Min­is­ter of the Free State of Sax­ony Michael Kretschmer.
