21. August 2019
Jorik van Egdom and Kate Bramley win XTERRA Netherlands
17. September 2019At the premiere of the XTERRA Luxembourg the Czech Helena Karaskova was once again successful. After the swim she was in 5th place and advanced in her usual manner to 2nd place. Only the French Alizee Paties was able to stand up to her. However, Helena Karaskova is also a good runner and was able to take the lead on the 10km trail run and extend it to more than 2 minutes. 2nd place went to Alizee Paties (FRA), 3rd place went to Lizzi Orchard (NZL).
Already with his victory at the XTERRA Belgium Yeray Luxem set a warning sign. With his 2nd victory in the BENELUX series, the Belgian underlined his brilliant form this season. Coming out of the water 50 seconds after Jens Roth (DEU), Luxem fought his way to 2nd place on the MTB split and then overtook Roth, who had been leading until then. Also the Frenchman Arthur Serrieres passed Roth and secured 2nd place. But also 3rd place is again an excellent performance of the likeable German Jens Roth. After his 2nd place at the XTERRA Germany he again secured a podium place at a strong XTERRA race of the European Tour.
Helena Karaskova continues to extend her lead in the Tour ranking. For men, Arthur Serrieres leads comfortably ahead of the Swiss Xavier Dafflon. With the XTERRA Netherland on 14.9. there is only one race left and Helena Karaskova is already the winner of the tour. For the men there is still a tiny chance for the now second placed Dafflon to win, namely if he wins at the XTERRA Netherlands and the up to now leading Serrieres as DNS, DNQ or DNF goes into the classification.
