Elite cross triath­lete Jens Roth inter­viewed

Today Germany's currently most successful elite cross-triathlete Jens Roth is 32 years young. We congratulate the five-time German champion and wish him continued success in his private and sporting life, in good health and always in a good mood.

In 2019 Jens surprised the world elite at the XTERRA Germany with an outstanding 2nd place and could thus achieve one of his greatest career successes. For the XTERRA European Championship 2020, which will also be held within the XTERRA Germany, the Trier athlete threw the hat into the ring as the first elite athlete and signed up for the entry list. Reason enough for Mr. O-SEE Klaus "Benno" Schwager to congratulate him via video interview and to "sound him out" ...

Jens was not stingy with highlights in the conversation and announced his start at the (coincidentally ?) Challenge Roth 2020. His debut on the long distance so to speak and with a truly ambitious target time in mind. If his goals for the season are met, he might even be able to compete in both triathlon world championship races in Hawaii in 2021, i.e. the Hawaiian Double. That means: start in Kona and 14 days later on Maui. Sebi Kienle has already done that, so it' s possible... Of course the likeable athlete from the Palatinate can't miss the German Championship at the 11th VULKAN-Cross-Triathlon Schalkenmehren, as it is his home race and he has the best chances to win the title for the sixth time.
