Catering/snacks
All meals provided are suitable for athletics:
Bike distance: 1x snack, 1x refreshment
Trailrun distance: 1x snack, 1x refreshment
More catering service points are located in the transition/finish area and a restaurant is located on the beach next to the competition area. As well located on the beach is our main first aid station, where first medical treatment can be found if required.
Timing / Results
Timing for the participants of the O-SEE CHALLENGE/XTERRA GERMANY is done electronically with a passive transponder chip system called "TrialogEvent". Immediately after reaching the finishing line every participant can receive a print-off with all intermediate and final race times. The results can be downloaded on the same day, under: www.o-see-challenge.de.
Service
Shower and washing-up facilities are available on the beach and the near-by camping side. Also available are dressing rooms and relaxation areas.
The ambulance service "German Red Cross" (DRK), the water life guard (DLRG) and the mountain rescue service Saxony are on site and ensure maximum possible safety and medical treatment in case of accidents.
In the so called "Expo" area is bike service shop located and can assist with smaller repairs and problems with your bike.
Registration
The following ways to register are available:
- Send in the completely filled out and signed registration form to the WSV Zittau e.V. via mail or fax
- online-registration at www.o-see-challenge.de from the 1th of December 2011

or when the participant limit of 300 athletes are reached
A registration after the deadline is possible at the ORG-Office on the
10th of August from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
11th of August from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Please be aware that a late registration fee of 10,00 € will apply when passing the registration deadline of the 25th of July 2012.
The organizer will send an e-mail registration form to everyone on the O-SEE-CHALLENGE email list. The registration however will only apply with the full fee payment.

Access in the transition area/Start preparations
Access in the transition area in preparation for the competition is only possible from 9:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
When the transition area is accessed the equipment will be checked and start numbers are hand out (swimmers). Every starter has a numbered spot in the transition/start area. Further tips can be found under Behaviour / Regulations on our web-site.
Latest Check-in to start at the swimming is 11:20 a.m.
Swimming competitors are asked to use appropriate swimming gear including a swimming cap.
Start time - Saturday, 11th of August 2012 --> 11:30 a.m.
Limits
Pass the checkpoint „Hochwald“ (after 40% of MTB): 3:00 p.m.
Transition Bike to Run: 4:00 p.m.
Close finish and competition end: 5:00 p.m.
close checkout transition zone: 5:30 p.m.
Award/Medal ceremony for the Top 10 m/Top 7 f overall 7:00 p.m.
The winner M/F will get a sandstone made trophy, the Top 5 M/W will receive a unique and valuable medal.
Price money
For the Top 5 m/f of Pro-/Elitecompetitors:
2.000 € / 1.500 € / 1.000 € / 700 € / 500 €
The prize money is paid in this high when the competition has the status of XTERRA Germany. Should the competition lose this status, the prize money will be halving in value.

Non-liability / Entry conditions
The competition follows the rules and standards of the "Deutschen Triathlon Union" (Sportordnung, Veranstalterordnung, Bundesligaordnung, Antidopingordnung, Kampfrichterordnung) and also their Laws and procedures. All the rules, procedures, standards and laws can be studied on the race day and appropriate materials will be handed out with event information package. With the registration the athletes recognizes and applies to the rules, laws and orders of the competition.
Furthermore the athletes recognize the non-liability of the organizer for damage of any kind on.
The athlete acknowledges, that he trained for the participation in this competition sufficiently and is physically healthy conditions. Any risks in terms of health conditions of participation must be contained on the registration form to the best knowledge.
Overnight accommodation
First address for the overnight stay is the camping site at the Lake "Olbersdorfer See", 3 minutes from the race site. It offers simple bungalows, tent and camping van pitches for overnight accommodation. It is necessary to make a reservation in advance and as early as possible. Further information and contact under www.seecamping-zittau.com. A further contact for accommodations is the tourism center "Zittauer Mountains" www.zittauer-gebirge-tour.de. Also you can find accommodations over the Internet in the near by area in Zittau, Olbersdorf and Oybin. Early bookings are as well recommended.
